Jackson Park Capital, LLC was founded in 2012 by Greg Jackson and John Park. The firm is based in Alpine, Utah, and is the advisor to the Oakseed Opportunity Fund, a no load mutual fund investing primarily in common stocks. The fund's strategy focuses on long term investing in companies with competitive advantages, high or improving returns on capital, compelling valuations, and alignment between shareholders, management, and the board of directors. Greg Jackson

Co-portfolio Manager

Greg Jackson is the co-portfolio manager for the Oakseed Opportunity Fund and Managing Partner of Jackson Park Capital, LLC. Prior to co-founding Jackson Park Capital, Greg was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Ensign Peak Advisors; Partner and Co-Head of the Investment Committee at Blum Capital Partners; Partner and Portfolio Manager at Harris Associates where he co-managed the Oakmark Global Fund from inception in 1999 to 2003; and Partner, Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Yacktman Asset Management. Greg received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and his MBA from the University of Chicago.

 

John Park, CFA

Co-portfolio Manager

John Park is the co-portfolio manager for the Oakseed Opportunity Fund and Managing Partner of Jackson Park Capital, LLC. Prior to co-founding Jackson Park Capital, John was a Partner and Co-Head of the Investment Committee at Blum Capital Partners; Partner, Portfolio Manager, and Director of Research at Columbia Wanger Asset Management where he was the portfolio manager of the Columbia Acorn Select Fund from inception in 1998 until 2004 and the co-portfolio manager of the Columbia Acorn Fund from 2003 to 2004. John received his undergraduate degree and his MBA from the University of Chicago, both with honors, and was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1996.
